ABUSE
DID YOU KNOW?
Tennessee ranks 4th in the nation for the number of women killed in domestic violence-related homicides.
1 IN 3 WOMEN have experienced some form of physical abuse.
Nearly 80,000 cases of domestic violence are reported in Tennessee each year—and many more go unreported.
28% of families are homeless due to domestic violence.

From Hopeless
To A Home
Domestic violence is part of a systematic pattern of power and control perpetrated by one intimate partner or family member against another. It includes physical violence, sexual violence, threats and emotional abuse.
On average, nearly 20 people per minute are victims of physical violence in the United States.
At Second Chance Vision Ministry, our mission is to bring hope, healing, and deliverance to women who have experienced abuse and trauma. Born from a vision given to our founder, Judy Smith Vantreese, we are dedicated to walking alongside survivors as they begin a new chapter — free from guilt, shame, and fear.
We provide practical support and biblical guidance through a range of services including counseling, prayer, support groups, advocacy, and assistance with housing, food, clothing, and educational opportunities. By partnering with other ministries and community organizations, we ensure that every woman has the resources and encouragement she needs to move forward. Whether a woman is rebuilding her live on her own or with her children, we are here to help meet her needs, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
Our heart is to see each woman restored — emotionally, spiritually, and practically — and empowered to live the full and free life God intended for her.
There is hope, and it starts here.
